Robin's research interests lie in the political economy of central banking, financial regulation and how technocratic areas of policymaking are (de-)politicised. At the Blavatnik School, he is part of the ERC-BANKLASH research project on banks, popular backlash and the post-crisis politics of financial regulation. Robin is currently a researcher at the European Central Bank (ECB).
Before joining the Blavatnik School, Robin worked at the Bank of England in international banks supervision and the policy unit for EU withdrawal. Originally from Germany and Taiwan, he holds a bachelor's from the University of St Gallen and a master's in international political economy with distinction from the London School of Economics. While at the Bank of England, he also completed a postgraduate diploma in central banking and financial regulation from the University of Warwick.
